Hi there, I am a girl who is 16 years old. I heard the term differential diagnosis a couple of days ago and I don't know what it means. Can you help me out? I really want to know what is this all about. Thank you in advance for every information you give me. I am sorry for wasting your time.

Greetings, don't worry I will tell you all I know. differential diagnosis is the method physicians use to identify the disease causing a patient's symptoms. Doctors examines the patient, determine his symptoms, the talk with him about his medical and family history. After this doctors tries to determine cause of the symptoms. Then they prescribe the therapy. If the condition improves then they have succeeded, if not they have to start again. The whole process is differential diagnosis.
