Hi. I have a 2 months old baby and I have a very difficult time breastfeeding. My breasts and nipples hurt. What to do? Should I have limited feeding time?
Hi. Breastfeeding may be painful in some cases. My nipples are painful too. I used to think my feeding technique is not correct, butt my milk ducts were actually blocked. It can lead to breast engorgement. This can be treated with massage. Your problem may only be temporary and it should pass over time. If your baby is not positioned correctly it can cause cracked nipples. Nursing pads or tight bras can cause breast and nipple pain too. A friend of mine uses lanolin to sooth nipples.
