difficulty breathing with oxycontin

i took a 40mg oxycontin and am having difficulty breathing....feels like i'm having a panic attack...took a .25 xanax to calm me down...is it usual to feel like you're having a panic attack when taking oxy? it's my first time taking it, though i've taken 15mg of oxycodone in the past.
