I would like to know what the symptoms of hyperthyroidism are. I suspect that something is wrong with my thyroid. I recognize some of the symptoms because my sister had problems two years ago. I noticed that I’ve been having difficulties with swallowing. Is that a sign?
There are many symptoms of hyperthyroidism. Some of the common ones are : Loss of energy, although eventually can feel ‘overdone’ and exhausted, nervous, anxious, irritable; dislike of heat, sweaty, tremor; good appetite, but again weight loss; increased heart rate or palpitations, diarrhea and muscle weakness; skin changes; swelling in throat that causes difficulty swallowing; painful protruding eyes and double vision. If you experience any of these symptoms make sure to see a doctor and check your thyroid.
