Hello,
My 56-year-old husband had cervical disc surger 6/15/2006. He is not taking any pain medications. However, he is experiencing bloating and constipation. His doctor suggested over-the-counter laxatives, and he is complying. Is digestive problems normal after this type of surgery? Is it likely that he has nerve damage?
Additionally, he has great difficulty swollowing. He is taking in mostly liquids and very soft solids. When can he expect to regain swollowing?
