Hi, my mother is 72 years old and she is suffering from arthritis for a very long time. She has very strong pain from time to time and also she is coughing because of allergy she has. When she visited her doctor last time he prescribed her dihydrocodein so I would like to know something more about this medication.

Hi, my friend was also using dihydrocodein for some time. It may be used against some chronic pain and also it is good for dry coughing. However codein is substance which may cause addiction so you have to be careful with long term using of this medication. In some cases it may be used in treatment of drug addicted persons.
