Hi I have an 11month old baby girl who is going through some sleep problems. She has a hard time settling down to sleep and also wakes periodially through the night. My concern is during my preganacy I suffered with severe migrain to the point of hospitalazation until she was born. During that time I was given several different drugs to help with the pain the main one being dilaudid 4 tablets every 4 hours plus the occasional demerol shot Anyway my uestion is could this be affecting my childs sleep habits now She has always been a restless sleeper and during my pregnancy I had a hard time sleeping because of the pain I was in due to the migrains. When she was born she was addicted to moraphine but she was weened and we were able to take her home. What long term effects do these drugs have on a child who was exposed to them in the womb.
