discomfort in left testicle

About a week ago, I decided to wear boxers. While away from home I began to feel discomfort, a irritating feeling. It stopped after about one day, then two days ago the feeling came back. I feel a little pain when I lay down, and have to put a pillow between my legs to relieve the pressure. During the day I feel an off and on discomfort in my left testicle.
If anybody have delt with this issue, I would really like some advice on what to do. Thank you.
