My wife had a breast cancer surgery 5 days ago. She went to a surgery after a long struggle and different ways of therapies. The operation last for several hours. There were some complications during the procedure. When she was awake she did not know who she is or where she is. Now she feels disoriented. Is this going to stop? Will she feel normal again?
Your wife is very lucky to have such a devoted husband. Do not worry it is something that often follow surgery. Disorientation could be from narcotic pain medications, sleep deprivation or consequence of those therapies you have mentioned. These effects will improve and she will be back to normal. She need close follow-up from your doctor and additional neurologist.
