for the last couple of months i had been getting a sore throat when i sleep with my mouth open. now however,, just in the last month i have had a bad sore throat and started coughing up mucus. now i am still coughing sometimes i cough up mucus and sometimes i just cough but i cough and wheeze continuously and nothing has helped. i haven been to the doctor yet but i was wondering if anyone knows what these symptoms might be.

To be perfectly honest i dont think you have asthma as there is no muchus involved, it is simply swelling of the airways that cause the difficulty in breathing. Hope this helps.

there is definitely mucus involved with asthma that's what makes you cough so much, the swelling in your air way plus all the mucus is what makes it so difficult to breath.
