| I had my gallbladder removed 2 days ago after an unexpected trip to the ER. I thought I had developed a stomach ulcer after months of indigestion, bloating, gas and lots of antacids. I had asked the attending Dr. if they could test me for H-Pylori. Fortunately for me, she did an ultrasound, which revealed a large stone blocking the neck of my gallbladder, and inflammation. My Dr. said people get along perfectly fine without their gallbladder, and that I had no restrictions on diet or activities. I'm home 1 day after surgery, and have only a little pain. It's too soon to know if there will be other problems, but so far so good. |
