Hi, can a woman become infertile even if she had children before? Is infertility usually treatable or untreatable condition? I wonder if a woman manages to become pregnant, can she lose her fertility again because of life style and other conditions?

Infertility in women can be due to many causes, such as hormonal deficiencies, problems in the reproductive organs, and some illnesses. Usage of some medications may also result in infertility. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is the most common cause of infertility, and it is infection in ovaries, the fallopian tubes, the cervix or the uterus. The same bacteria that cause sexually transmitted diseases, such as gonorrhea or chlamydia are responsible for these infections. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCO) , where the ovaries produce high amounts of male hormones, testosterone. LH levels are abnormally high while FSH levels are low; so, the instead of eggs fluid-filled cysts are formed and they eventually cover the ovaries.
