does lomotil and bismuth subsalicylate have aspirin?

My sister has been having severe diarrhea problems lately and really made all of us very worried. She has been prescribed with lomotil and bismuth subalicylate for dealing with that condition. Does those two drugs have aspirin in their structure? I have heard this from my friend and I would just like to know more about how they work?

It really does seem that her condition is complicated, since she has to use two drugs that deal with diarrhea. Anyway, Lomotil is a combination of anticholinergic and antidiarrheal drug. It simply lowers the leveel of muscle motion in the intestine walls. Bismuth is a salicilylate. It is supposed to decrease the secretion in intestines and prevents the inflammation process in this area. Aspirin and Bismuth are both salicylates so I guess they do have similar structure and function.
