i dont really have much of a story to tell. but i have a friend who is pregant and she dosent want to have the baby because she is afraid of what her parents might do to her. so in order to rid hersef of the mess she got herself she decided to become anorexic so she can have a miscarriage.
now my question to you is: if you become anorexic dose that cause you to have a miscarriage?  |

NO IT DOES NOT..The FETUS will simply use up her body to grow, and she will become sicker and sicker..
YOU DO NOT need parnetal cosnent for an abortion in ANY STATE! You can easily bypass your parents with certain steps, please let her know this. |

That is very true not eating will just make her sicker and sicker however, in some states parental consent IS required for an abortion. I know this because after 6 weeks, i found out i was pregnant last month. I was really scared and i didn't know what to do. So abortion was definately an option for me. and i was going to have to drive to Washington D.C. to get it because Virginia state laws require that your parents must be notified before this can happen. Do some research to find out weather it's required in your state. But be sure to let your friend know that using anorexia as a way to escape her pregnancy, is NOT the answer. IT is very unlikely that would cause a miscarriage in itself. And it would not only effect the health or threaten the life of her baby, but it can threaten her's too.  If she doesn't want to keep that baby, also suggest differnent ideas. such as adoption. |

NO STATE requires parental consent IF You get a JUDICIAL BYPASS...
YOU could have recieved a bypass, but driving to DC from virginia is a common thing for teens.. |

Being anorexic can cause a miscarriage under certain circumstances. However if someone becomes anorexic during pregnancy mother nature kicks in and takes from the mothers' body, like Carifairy stated. The mother would just get sicker and sicker.
Often those who are already anorexic stop ovulating however and usually do not get pregnant. However this is only during the later stages of anorexia due to the lack of periods, and is not something that is totally garuanteed.
Getting pregnant after someone has been "recovered" from anorexia can be very dangerous because of the damage done to the body by this eating disorder, particularly the heart and other organs. Doctors would need to monitor a woman "recovering" closely. I say "recovering" because once someone is Anorexic they are never "cured" just like someone with BPD (borderline personality disorder) is never "cured". |
