just wondering if you know the formula for the injections? would like to know how much of each they are giving each person....sounds like alot

YOU KNOW, NO ONE ANSWERED THIS QUESTION. THERE SEEMS TO BE MAN Y PEOPLE WHO EITHER WORK OR HAVE WORKED AT THE CLINIC, BUT NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW (OR ARE WILLING TO DISCLOSE) THE FORMULA FOR THE B6/B12 COMBINATION. 1000mcg/ml is the standard concoction for B12 and my doctor only recommends 1 ml per month. Does that mean that the majority of the injection is B6? Or is the dosage considerably higher and that's the REAL reason why it needs to be medically supervised. I would be interested in comments from both the current and the former employees and anyone who has been in the program should they wish to chime in.

I have 2 nodules one on my right and one on my left side each of the neck due to thyroid issues Hasimoto Syndrom and visible ugly guter on my neck. I take Eltroxin-Levothyroxine 0.05mg every single day. I am over 210lbs. My questions are straight forward I hope you or anyone else can give me straight answers...
1- Can I, with my health issues go for this diet or not?
2.- If is not $800/mth, as she said-How much is it then? month or weekly payments?
3.- The injections are Aminoacids or Vitamins?
4.- Is the injection optional or not?
5.- after having receive the injection can you touch chicken skin or take a shower with a rich oily soap? I am asking because i knew of some injections were you most avoid touching greasy things.

Anyway, if some one wants to reply here or privately; please do so, I am ill, Sad to see me ugly and fat. This is enough I would like to have a FAIR and HONEST answers base on real experience, or advice from the heart. Not from the employee perspective. Thanks a lot.

PostPosted: 05/10/07 - 20:59    Post subject: Dr B Diet Vote now! Reply with quote

I was on the Dr B diet from Sep 05 until Feb 06 - I lost 98 pounds and felt fantastic while doing it....BUT now looking back (and 30 pounds weight back on) I am re-reading some of the stuff I intially chose to ignore. If you give a fat chick a fast ticket to losing 100 pounds - there are very few that say...'what about the health risks"...most of us are so damn depressed at looking like hippos that ANYTHING to lose weight will do. Even a pretty serious kidney infection midway through the diet didn't stop me....I failed to aknowledge the massive mood swings....laughed off the memory problems (the brain needs 500 cals to function normally...that is before the body gets it's share).
The potent Binjection left me drier than the bottom of a Parrot's cage within hours...........not to mention the carb rebound if you should stray from the maintenance path once the diet is over. I put on 11 pounds in three days of eating normally......no I didn't binge.
Like me at the time you will say but I will be quite happy to never touch another piece of normal bread or a banana.......good luck with that.
The staff couldn't give a rat's ass about your wellbeing and the so-called Dr.s are like machines.......a nice quick earner for them.
Food issues are what the Dr B philosophy is all about....lambs to the slaughter........he has the cure and we will do whatever it is to adhere to this crazy diet.
You will also lose muscle mass through carb deprivation...the potassium..the shots and the multi-vits will mask that with a buzz........but try lifting something that you could easily lift when you were a hippo (no offence intended to all of you hippos out there)
Spend your money on a sound nutritionist......drop 2 pounds a week and have a friggin chocolate bar without sticking on 11 pounds overnight....if you thought you were depressed before Dr B rescued you...wait until you see what happens after you fall from his greasy grip.

Most of the negative posts are crap. So much untruth to try to disway people. The diet is extremely well supervised. Your family Dr. will endorse it. The support and help from all the medical staff is way above and beyond what one would expect. Go find a proper forum instead of this place where any moron can post whatever they want and not have to back it up. Instead of believing this junk, go to Bernstein website and read the truth.

Agreed, I posted this on another forum but thought it was worth a repost:

A few years back I was on the program, late 20's male and about 270lbs at 5'11". I have to say that I never experienced any of the side effects that people describe. No hair loss, no headaches, no sickness, extremely rare hunger pangs... after the first week they were gone. Sometimes I would get a little dizzy if I was lying down and got up too fast, but that's to be expected. I was(am?) young and otherwise healthy aside from the weight so I didn't think there was any reason not to do this. The people that bitch and complain are probably the ones that didn't have the discipline to stick to the program, or had side effects. Sure if that happens you stop, but I never cheated once and lost about 75 lbs in around 3-4 months. Was it hard? Sure. Am I glad I did it? Absolutely. I have actually gained back about half the weight, but it is my own fault as I went right back into my old habits of eating, for which I am upset with myself and looking to go back on the program to lose that 35 lbs I gained back. However, gaining the weight back twice as fast? People must really be pigs. I would say that I eat a LOT of junk food and large portions and it took me over 3 years to gain back half of what I lost in 3 months. Going to the gym regularly kept the weight off for about two years but I got lazy and stopped going, which was stupid.

I had ultrasounds done on my kidneys recently as people mentioned kidney stones but there is nothing there so maybe I was lucky or maybe just a select few people who were already in bad health got them, I dunno.

When I went out with friends I would just say I was on a doctor prescribed diet to lower my cholesterol where I cut out alcohol and sugars

I can't say what will happen if you cheat, but I had no problems sticking to the diet. I never cheated once. Why would you pay all that money and then cheat?

I never had bitchy nurses but I never cheated and I was always losing weight. I never stagnated, so either I was lucky or the people that stagnated cheated and just aren't willing to admit it to themselves or others.

THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY I COULD LOSE THE WEIGHT. That was the bottom line for me, I'd been overweight for years and there was no way I could go on a diet for a long time, I just don't have the discipline when it comes to food. Without seeing results quickly there is no way I could stick to a diet. I needed the structure and the pressure of someone watching me to stick to something.

There probably are risks, but I'm a results driven guy and I'm willing to take a little risk and spend a little money to get things done. Who wants to be on a diet for a year? If you are tired of being overweight and don't want to spend forever losing lbs then I'd say give it a try. The fearmongers didn't sway me.

Still no answer to question, What is in the formula? Is it a safe formula? Is it just snake oil?
