drinking and cortizone

I have a doubt. Recently I was given cortisone injection by my doctor. The problem is that I was drinking at that time. My question is how does drinking affects cortisone? I know that it is not so good to mix alcohol with medicines, but can you tell me more about cortisone?

I imagine that you are old enough to know that mixing alcohol with medicines is not so good idea. This could lead to potentially life threatening situations. Cortisone is a hormone produced by a small gland on top of the kidney called the adrenal gland and it is essential to the proper functioning of your body. This is especially the case when you are under stress. Absence of cortisone is known as Addison's disease, which is fatal without treatment. There are no allergic reactions to cortisone due to a fact that it is a normal body product and in cases of people with severe allergies, it is one of most effective treatment tools. Cortisone is useful in suppressing inflammation in the short term, and dissolving scar tissue, stabilizing the body's defenses, speeding the healing process in the long term. It is very effective in causing certain cysts to disappear. I have to mention that some cortisone injections can be painful. If you are worried I advise you to contact your doctor. Don’t drink alcohol ever again when you are under some treatment.
