drooling during sleep problems

I would like to ask you something about drooling during sleep problems. My father, who is 65 year old, has started drooling during sleep and it bothers him a lot. Not to mention the fact that he has to change his pillowcases almost every other night. How can I help him? Is there a cure?

This condition may occur because of many different causes and illnesses. Still, the most common cause is breathing through the mouth instead of nose. There is no concrete cure, only medications that will reduce the salivation. Also, while sleeping after alcohol consuming, drooling can be more serious. Anyway, this condition does not pose any threat, so no need to worry.
