dryness in mouth

I feel dryness in my mouth. It is like I have no enough saliva to keep them moist. It is been like this for 2-3weeks. It is very uncomfortable, I have problem with chewing and swallowing, even tasting. Is this due to some infection? What can be the cause?

Once I had sticky, dry feeling in the mouth. My lips were cracked and sore. I went to see a doctor about this dryness and he told me that glands in my mouth don’t work properly so there is no enough saliva. I received the therapy which helped my glands to work better. There other possible cause but I think you should consult specialist about the mouth dryness.
