Hi, Im 40 and last month, my period started a week early...this has never happend before..i also had brown spotting before the period started. This month, my period started on time, but was very heavy, and normally only last 4 days. I am still haveing brown spotting and dark red, small sticky clots. Not very much. Its been 7 days, and this is not the norm for me.
also, my breasts have been very sensitive, and i have been having mood swings...
could this be early menopause or God forbid, somthing real bad?

If you want to know if you are going through menopause have your g.p. give you a female hormone blood test and see. I would see the doctor anyway regarding your other symptoms
