Hi, I am 24 years old female and I have friend who suffers from eating disorder. I have thought that eating disorders are conditions which affect only women but I realized that it is not so. He is my long time friend and I would like to help him. I would like to know something more about eating disorders in males.
Hi, eating disorders mainly affects women but lately there are more and more boys with same problems. Today it is very popular to be thin so people are starving themselves and exercises as much as they can. Because of such ideas bulimia and anorexia became more frequent in the men. They are avoiding meals, and if they eat they are trying vomit as soon as possible. Anorexia is very dangerous because of extreme weight loss while bulimia do not make such drastic weight problems.
