I had an inj of methotrexate for a right tubal pregnancy 9 days ago, but I'm still feeling sharp pains on the right side. My hcg beta has dropped below 10 and my Dr. said everything looks good. Why am I still in pain? Should I get an ultrasound? I'm affraid that there might be something wrong with my right tube after the ectopic pregnancy. My Dr. is too busy to treat me. What should I do?

Hi, You did not put in your post how far long you were in the pregnancy but that makes a big difference. I have not had that exact same problem but a"tubal" pregnancy is not "nothing". If you still have pain there is still a problem. You did not say if you have passed any tissue that would be the fetus but that is something that should happen. Just to be safe I would get myself to an ultrasound machine and have someone see what is going on. If you have medical insurance call your doctor or another doctor and tell them you are continuing to have problems. If you do not have medical insurance you could go to the emergency room of a hospital and have someone look at you there. Because you were (or still could be) pregnant Medicaid will cover you (in most states) for the pregnancy. But no matter what, talk to a doctor and see what it going on. Good luck.
