My friend has miscarriage recently…and she is emotionally broken completely. Doctor said that she is going to be ok soon. He hasn’t given her any treatment after and I think she needs one. What is the effective treatment for miscarriages? I think that she will be better if she take some meds.

It is normal that she is emotionally upset. This is a big shock, plus her hormones are “confused” now. I have a friend who passed through this too. She told me that if a miscarriage is complete then no further treatment is needed, although some types of miscarriage frequently require treatment, though in some cases it is appropriate to see first if nature takes its course. The decision on whether medical treatment is needed depends on the stage of pregnancy, bleeding and woman's personal choice. For missed miscarriage or when there is significant bleeding, treatment with medicines or surgery may be needed (to remove the remaining pregnancy tissue). Medicines are effective for miscarriage under seven weeks or in case there is a small amount of tissue remaining in the uterus.
