effects of having sex during menstrual period; is it safe?

I have intercoursed with my boyfriend while I'm having my period. I just want to know, is it safe? because recently, he just read an article that having a sex during woman's period may result of having aids. is it true? if yes, can you give me some advice like what are the possible symptoms or bad effects of doing that. thank you.

You are more suspected of contracting any STD while having sex during your period. However, if you haven't received anything from your boyfriend so far, you won't now.

But having unprotected sex during periods does make you more prone to infections.

Some doctors suggest having sex while a woman is on her period because it makes her uterus contract and, therefore, helps expel menstrual fluid thus decreasing the chances of infection. On the other hand, I've heard that sex while on your period can increase the risk for endometriosis because it may push menstrual fluid back up into the uterus. So, there's sort of mixed feelings on the subject. I would say, though, if you're both comfortable doing it, it shouldn't be a major problem. I know many people get disgusted at the thought of sex while the woman is menstruating, but that doesn't mean it's some huge forbidden act.

Also, the claim that sex during your period causes AIDS is bogus - the only way you'll contract AIDS is if you interact sexually with someone who has it, or you are exposed to other bodily fluids from an infected individual.

Actually, I think it is safer to have sex that way, in addition if your boyfriend wears protection.
It would be a sefer sex as the ovum is being discharged from the vagina

Aids? NO! unless u both or one of u have it..aids just doesn't magically apear.

sperm is such a wonderufl thing. has all kins of magivcal power. like someone said, helps expecial..uterine contractions. that deals with the prosoglandins released in the sperm. this is a good thing. girls like this (i think).

Some of you have alot of hang-ups. It's an individual or couple thing. What are you comfortable with? If you're horny and you and your boyfriend can find ways to bring you to orgasm, good for you!
