| My Aunt was diagnosed with lung cancer about 3 years ago. Because of this, She had to have part of Her lung removed. She has had chronic back pain ever since the surgery. The doctors are now exploring the possibility of killing he nerve endings in Her back. She is not able to sit or stand for long periods of time, due to the pain. She is also on numerous pain meds. Nothing is helping. This is why the doctors are exploring the option of doing surgery to kill the nerve endings in Her back. My question is, because She can't get any real straight forward answers from Her doctors, what are the side affects of having a surgical procedure, such as this one done? I need to know the long & short term affects this will have on her body & Her life in general. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. |
