I am a 30 year old female that has a sever case of bi-polar i have been taking effexor and seroquel for many years. I have recently found out i was pregnant, i am about 6 weeks now. I have many opinions from the doctors some say take some say get off and they want me to have a "theraputical abortion" ...I am scared to come off becasue i know i will crash...but i'm so afraid for my baby. Is there anyone out there that really knows about this, maybe took effexor while pregnant, I really need some help on this situation Any light that could be shed on this for me would greatly be appreciated....So lost and so confused!

I am currenly on Effexor myself and 29 weeks pregnant. My pregnacy is going awsome and everything is looking good so far. My dr says it is fine to be on it. so does my phyciatrist. They both now many cases that girls have been on it and have healthy happy babies. Don't stress your self out about it it's fine.
