Use

Another nice feature of this antiepileptic is that it does not interfere with the function of birth control pills.
This system has the advantage that seizures can be classified relatively easily and choice of antiepileptic is dictated by seizure type.
Clinical use of this antiepileptic is at present limited since there are reports indicating a possibility of aplastic anemia of idiosyncratic origin and hepatic failure.
Based on the investigations and neurological status of the child, a decision on continuation of antiepileptic is decided.
