avian leukosis is a group of transmissible viral diseases of chickens and turkeys; liver tumors are found in most forms, but tumors can be found elsewhere; avian sarcoma are connective tissue tumors, affecting primarily fowl, that are usually caused by avian sarcoma viruses.
