Facts (generated by robot; please edit if you find it inaccurate)
- The B lymphocyte is the immune cell target for 2',3'-dideoxyadenosine.
- In these experiments, the H and L alleles from the original B lymphocyte is shuffled and combined with germ line or nonfunctional alleles.
- An immunocompetent but naive B lymphocyte is activated, and completes its differentiation when antigens bind to its surface receptors and provokes a humoral immune response, in which antibodies are produced against the foreign species.
- In other words, a particular B lymphocyte is specific for only one antigen.
- The first complete Ig synthesized by the B-lymphocyte is an IgM, in which the mu chain is combined with a light kappa or lambda chain.
