The bone is a rigid connective tissue that makes up the skeleton of vertebrates.
Made mostly of collagen, bone is living, growing tissue.
Osteoporosis is a progressive bone disease in which bone tissue is normally mineralized, but the amount of bone is decreased and the structural integrity of trabecular bone is impaired, becoming more brittle.
Bones are composed of fibres of a material called collagen filled in with minerals - mainly calcium salts.
