Use

Using the dog's olfactory abilities, the canine is given an area to search and within a matter of moments the canine can locate the item even in a large area.
Recognizing that canines have a superior sense of smell and hearing, the trained law enforcement canine is a valuable supplement to police staffing.
2 System Architecture The system architecture of CANINE is shown in Figure 1.
It should be noted for the record that the average time it takes Garrison & Sloan to purchase a canine, train and certify an explosive detection canine is usually a minimum of 5 months.
USE OF FORCE-POLICE CANINE: A police canine is an extension of the handler.
