Cholecystitis

Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder.
Cholecystitis causes severe abdominal pain.
The inflammation is most commonly caused by gallstone(s).
Cholecystitis occurs most often in obese women older than 40.
The most common symptoms are pain in the right upper quadrant, constant and severe that could also be felt as the right flank pain. Other symptoms may include a low grade fever, vomiting and nausea.
