- Ectopic pregnancy has symptoms very similar to regular pregnancy and can be difficult to diagnose. The most common symptoms are missed periods, breast tenderness, nausea, vomiting, frequent urination and pain in your pelvis or abdomen. Additional symptoms include vaginal spotting or bleeding, dizziness or fainting, low blood pressure, and lower back pain.
- Around 30% of women who have had ectopic pregnancies will have some difficulty becoming pregnant again. The prognosis depends on the extent of the damage and the surgery that was done.
