- The virus that causes glandular fever is known as Epstein-Barr virus.
- Glandular fever i.e. infectious mononucleosis is an acute disease characterized by fever and swollen lymph nodes and an abnormal increase of mononuclear leucocytes or monocytes in the bloodstream.
