what is an anamorphic lens? Is it a good thing to have? What does it do? Basically, an anamorphic lens is a lens that optically distorts the image.

Since diffraction cannot be completely eliminated, the finest lens is one that produces an image whose quality is limited only by diffraction.
The movement of the camera/lens is compensated out by laterally shifting an internal optical lens element.
