- Liver cancer is a condition in which malignant cells are found in the tissues of the liver.
- Primary liver cancer is very difficult to cure.
- Liver cancer is a silent killer because the majority of the patients appear to be perfectly healthy and have no any early signs or symptoms.
- Because liver cancer is rarely discovered early and is difficult to control with current treatments, the prognosis is often poor.
- Liver cancer is much more prevalent in many of the developing countries than in the industrialized world.
- Other type of liver cancer is called metastatic liver disease (cancer) or secondary liver cancer.
