Facts

• One of a pair of organs in the chest that supplies the body with oxygen, and removes carbon dioxide from the body.
• Each lung is divided into upper and lower lobes, although the upper lobe of the right lung contains another triangular subdivision known as the middle lobe.
• The lung is a very common site for metastasis from tumors in other parts of the body.
