- MRSA is a bacterium that, under normal conditions, is relatively harmless.
- While MRSA is resistant to many antibiotics and can be difficult to treat there are a few antibiotics that can cure MRSA infections.
- MRSA is a type of staph that is resistant to antibiotics called beta-lactams.
- MRSA is most commonly spread via hands, equipment, and sometimes the environment.
- MRSA is not a disease.
