Facts

  • Moles are growths on the skin can appear anywhere on the skin, alone or in groups can appear anywhere on the skin, alone or in groups.
  • Moles appear when cells in the skin grow in a cluster instead of being spread throughout the skin.
  • A normal mole has well-defined, regular borders.
  • Moles are usually brownish, but may be darker or skin-coloured. They can also be flat, raised, smooth, rough, and even have hair coming out from them.
  • Most moles are not dangerous. Medical concern represent those that look different than other existing moles or those that first appear after age 20.
