- Ovulation is the release of a mature egg from the ovary, which occurs usually around 14 - 16 days before your next period.
- Cervical fluid will change to a wet, slippery substance that resembles "egg whites" just before ovulation occurs and until ovulation is over.
- Ovulation is the process by which an ovary produces and releases an egg.
- Ovulation is triggered by copulation or mechanical stimulation of the vagina.
- When ovulation is about to occur, your cervical mucus will be clear, slippery and very stretchy, similar to a raw egg white.
