  • PMS is a disorder characterized by a set of hormonal changes that trigger disruptive symptoms in a significant number of women for up to two weeks prior to menstruation.
  • Diagnosis of PMS is usually based on your symptoms, when they occur, and how much they affect your life.
  • PMS is more common in women over the age of 30 years and tends to stop with the menopause.
