PMS is a disorder characterized by a set of hormonal changes that trigger disruptive symptoms in a significant number of women for up to two weeks prior to menstruation.
Diagnosis of PMS is usually based on your symptoms, when they occur, and how much they affect your life.
PMS is more common in women over the age of 30 years and tends to stop with the menopause.
