• The lower part of the abdomen, located between the hip bones.
• The lowest part of the abdomen containing the uterus, ovaries, urinary bladder and bowels as well as pelvic lymphatic nodes.
• Pelvis is composed of the two hip bones, sacrum and coccyx.
• The bony structure that supports the vertebral columns and contains the hip sockets.
