Facts

  • False Positive Pregnancy is when the test says that you are pregnant but actually you are not.
  • The urine pregnancy test is one of the most popular ways to detect pregnancy.
  • A pregnancy blood test or a pregnancy serum test measures the exact amount of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), in the bloodstream of a woman. It is more accurate than the urine test and can detect pregnancy sooner than the urine test.
  • A positive quantitative pregnancy test is 5 mIU HCG.
  • The earliest you can get a positive result is seven days after ovulation but it is best to wait until 10-12 days after ovulation or for your period to be late.
