Use

Rifampin is a selective, pleiotropic inducer of drug metabolism genes in human hepatocytes: studies with cDNA and oligonucleotide expression arrays.
Rifampin is a somewhat unique antibiotic that is used in combination with erythromycin.
Because resistant microorganisms emerge during treatment, rifampin is used along with other drugs, e.
Rifampin is one of several drugs used in a multi-drug cocktail for the treatment of tuberculosis.
They usually occur during intermittent therapy or when treatment is resumed following intentional or accidental interruption of a daily dosage regimen, and are reversible when rifampin is discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted.
