The stomach is a sac-like organ that holds food and begins the digestive process by secreting gastric juice.
In most animals, the main job of the stomach is to break down large fat molecules into smaller ones, so that they can be absorbed into the intestines more easily.
The main function of the stomach is to complete the breakdown of food that begins in the mouth, preparing food to be absorbed into the body.
Stomach cancer is the result of cell changes in the lining of the stomach.
