  • A tooth, plural teethe, is a hard structure found in the jaws of many vertebrates.
  • Tooth function is to tear and chew food and in some animals, particularly carnivores, as a weapon.
  • Teeth are bony structures projecting from the maxilla or mandible that provides for the grinding, or mechanical digestion, of food particles.
  • Cracked teeth show a variety of symptoms, including erratic pain when chewing, possibly with release of biting pressure, or pain when your tooth is exposed to temperature extremes.
