- Zoloft is FDA approved to treat depression, social anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in adults over age 18. It is also approved for OCD in children and adolescents age 6-17 years.
- Zoloft is available in multiple strengths.
- Length of treatment is different from person to person.
- The most common Zoloft side effects are dry mouth, insomnia, sexual side effects, diarrhea, nausea, and sleepiness but you will not necessarily get them.
- Studies have been shown that Zoloft is not addictive or habit-forming.
