I have always thought I was just a wimp because I couldn't even get through a pelvic exam without pain. Sex is painful as well and tampons aren't horrible for me, but because of the discomfort I switched years ago. I have tried various treatments for endometriosis so far, but nothing has helped with all of the symptoms. I am currently on Lupron. It helps some with the cramps, but I still have a constant pain on my right side. I will say that Lupron has helped with the painful sex a little. I am only 2, 5 months into endometriosis treatment, so I will keep everyone posted on progress. I wish I could have some advice.

I understand exactly what you are going through with endometriosis. I've have same problem with tampons and pap smears are torture. My gyno keeps saying "try to relax", but it is difficult when it feels like someone is tearing you apart, although for me sex is less painful than a pelvic exam. My boyfriend understands that I need longer to get ready and that it doesn’t hurt so much if he doesn't go too deep. Unfortunately I have not noticed any difference with the different endometriosis treatments I've tried, but I'm still willing to try new ones.

I am 19 almost 20 years old and I have endo I was diagnosed about 3 years ago...since then i have had many surgeries to keep it under control. I am now on the ortho evra birth control patch all week every week instead of 3 weeks a month. It is working really well. I am not having much pain anymore. I hope this helps.
