Recently I was having pains under my chest and on my upper back which lasted good 8 days. A new family doctor thought it could be strees and prescribed an ultrasound. Ultrasound showed that my liver is enlarged. I have never used alcohol, and don't know what could have caused this. I had been using Lovestatin for cholesterol for the past 2 months. My cholesterol is not that bad, just a little higher than average, but the previous doctor prescribed the medicine to bring it to the perfect level. Could that be the side effect of Lovestatin? The new doctor doesn't say much, but I need some answers. Thank you.

It is possible that the statin could be a contributing factor. Have the doctor order a full hepatic and lipids panel to see what the liver numbers look like.
