Well done for examining yourself - many young men don't bother but it is very important. Often testicles are slightly different in size. Has there always been a difference in the feel of your epididymis, or has this just happened? The fact that there is no pain suggests that there is no infection. If you are still concerened, it would be sensible to make an appointment with your doctor who can check you over fully. Regards, John

JB9900 is asking very good questions.

It IS good that you are performing self exams. This is an important part of being a man, and often overlooked.

The epididymis is a spagetti like structure that sits above and slightly behind the testicle. You might envision the testicle to be like an eggplant fruit with the green cap to be the epididymis. Normally, there is no sensation to feeling this structure, however some men report an enlargement or feeling swollen epididymis after such an exam.

You'll want to make an appointment to get a full UG exam, and tell the doc of your concerns. That way, he will focus in on that structure and tell you if there's any abnormal condition or need for future concern.

At age 15, it's time to start your self health exams and become familiar with "your tackle". Good luck, and let us know what comes of this, if anything.
