Hello. I'm 46 year old female and I'm really worried for my husband. You see, about three years he was diagnosed with one condition called epididymitis. He contacted his doctor over it and therefore received appropriate treatment.
Problem is that, these last couple of days, he started to feel the same symptoms. I've told him to contact his urologist immediately but he refused it constantly.
I really don’t know a lot about this condition but I would like to tell him what could happen if this is left untreated.
Can someone please tell me more about these things!?

Hello. I also don’t know a lot about this condition but I know that you are right about all this. Although, this condition which basically is trivial and can be easily cured- it could cause several complications if left untreated.
The most common complications are chronic epididymitis, abscess, permanent damage or even destruction of the epididymis and testicle. Of course- this can lead to sterility.
Also, if bacteria that caused him this infections enters the blood stream- infection may spread to any other organ or system of the body. Talk with him about all this and convince him to contact his general practitioner.
